The Incumbent would be responsible for ideation, implementation and maintenance of analytical & market research solutions for the purpose of delivering strategic and actionable insights for the MC, business unit heads, client executives, relationship managers, and sales leads. This is a techno-functional role that would require working closely with multiple stakeholders to stand up solutions around wallet sizing, revenue opportunities, market data strategy & competitor analysis. The incumbent will be fluent in primary & secondary research, data modeling & visualization; must be results oriented, and strive for continuous improvement by enhancing exiting processes, fine tuning methodologies, finding out new data sources, innovating new analytical solutions, and operationalizing / industrializing delivery.

Responsibilities & Tasks Include

Understand client’s share of wallet, estimate wallet size & revenue potential; support sales in revenue improvement strategies via analytical innovationHave a good understanding of investment strategies and fund structuresBusiness acumen of different sectors/industries, understanding of key financial documents reported by companies periodicallyUnderstanding of financial services offerings / products within Front to Back spectrumBuild effective search strategies and gather relevant information leveraging both secondary and primary research sources and techniquesGain competitive intelligence and incorporate into State Street’s commercial agendaSupport Corporate Finance, Sector Solutions, Strategy, and Business Units in driving day-to-day performance transparencyCollect and review business metrics by client, products, product categories and business unitsWork closely with Client Analytics team members to provide requested analysis, reports, and metricsParticipate in various analytics modeling efforts as neededDocument analytical approaches/analyses via Process/Desk Guides.Communicate insights and recommendations to senior management through effective oral and written communicationCommunicate with business units throughout the company to collect information for Share of Wallet management reporting and analysesAnalyze and validate prototype, ad hoc, and periodic reports for accuracyCommitted to assigned tasks with a can-do attitude, a proactive approach to problem solving and a drive to deliverSound/industry-standard testing principles and defect management skillsLead, motivate, develop, and retain team talent, and leverage talent on other teams through partnerships and collaborationCoach and develop team members to ensure high-quality output and build new skillsIdentify synergies across the teams that lead to better insights and greater analytical productivity.Oversee the development of analytical outputs to ensure that teams are using the right data sources, methodologies, quantitative techniques and reporting formatsDevelop quality control standards and practices within the teams.Demonstrate innovation, adaptability, clarity of thought/logic, and superior intellect in both market research & analyticsManage ongoing projects and operations of existing solutionsDrive continuous improvement within existing workflows, showcase efficiency gains by streamlining processes, optimize data flow and data quality

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree (Post Graduate Preferred)10 - 15 years of experience in Market research, industry analysis or similar activities at a consulting firm, investment bank, research firm or top-tier financial institution
