Job Description

Prepares treatment room for patient by prescribed procedures and protocols.
Prepares patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating and draping patient.
Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area
Positioning instruments for dentist’s access; suctioning; passing instruments.
Record findings from oral examinations.
Ensuring that a patient’s mouth is kept dry by placing and removing suction hoses.
Applying anesthetics to teeth or gums, preparing materials needed to make dental impressions and placing dental dams.
Provide pre and pro –operative instructions for undergoing general or local anesthesia.
Provide instruments and dispense materials during oral examinations or treatments , as directed by the operator.
Clean and sterilize instruments used after treatment.
Process, mount and file dental X-rays.
Maintain and restock dental supplies.
