Job description

1. Enable pan India Commercial Underwriting (UW) & Sales teams through Underwriting support from Corporate office. (SME PROPERTY , MARINE , ENGINEERING & LIABILITY)

2. Develop innovative & comprehensive solutions / process / raters / platforms for SME UW & UW automation.

3. Drive SME business through sales teams & channels by providing best in class & technically advanced solutions matching to current & upcoming market requirements.

4. Identify niche & profitable segments , develop value propositions with Go to market plans.

5. Evaluate the pan India SME / Commercial lines portfolio on periodic basis , get insights and implement changes.

6. Implement the Strategy , Policies , guidelines and processes for Underwriting of Commercial Segment products in letter and spirit.

7. Ensure that the targeted claims ratios are achieved

8. Ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements in Underwriting , Products & Pricing

9. Effectively coordinate with the cross functional teams (Risk Engineering team , Sales team , channels and Operations & Claims teams)

Skills & Experience required:

• Minimum: 3 to 5 Years experience in Commercial Underwriting
• Hands - on with Property , Marine , Liability & engineering lines Underwriting principles
• Ability to understand the complex systems , processes , UW logics & matrix
• Should have good project management , analytics & presentation skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications , specifically Excel & Power Point
• Experience with underwriting software applications
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
