We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the continuous build, test, and deployment of our newly announced IBM Z and Cloud Modernization Stack which is a software solution designed to automate deployment and management of IBM Z software products in the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working to implement and manage continuous build and deployment scripts, as well as provide support and troubleshooting for our product teams. IBM Z and Cloud Modernization Stack allows our clients to leverage the best of the mainframe and innovation of the cloud with a hybrid approach that combines the best of the cloud with IBM Z. Your Role and Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable continuous quality, build, and deployment scripts and pipelines
- Communicate with product team members about issues they are seeing with the production systems involved, understanding and addressing the main concerns, diagnosing and solving the problems.
- Optimize and improve existing code
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
- Debug and troubleshoot issues
- Work in an Agile environment
- Participate in planning iterations and representing accomplishments at team scrums
- Presenting individual and team status during weekly playbacks or on management calls
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years’ Experience with continuous quality, build, and deployment tools (SonarQube, Jenkins, Tekton)
- Industry experience with Bash, Python, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub skills
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
- Experience with Unix/Linux systems, preferably 3+ years
- Problem determination and isolation skill
- Effectively communicate with cross functional teams as well as customers
