DIALYSIS TECHNICIAN
Job Description
- Sets up and operates haemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure: Attaches dialyzer and tubing to machine to assemble for use.
- Mixes dialysate, according to formula.
- Primes dialyzer with saline or heparinized solution to prepare machine for use.
- Transports patient to dialysis room and positions patient on lounge chair at haemodialysis machine.
- Takes and records patient's predialysis weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate.
- Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
- Cleans area of access, using antiseptic solution.
- Co-Ordinates with the Department Head , Treating Consultant , Nephrologist and the Sr.Doctors about the individual case to update.
- Maintains all the protocols, records and quality standards along with sterilization to run the dialysis center continuously.
- Candidate would be preferred if there is a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience.
