Director recruitment at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR)
Qualifications
Essential: The candidate should have a Doctorate Degree in the area of physics, chemistry,
biology, mathematics, computer science or any other related interdisciplinary area and should
be an outstanding scientist with high academic eminence both nationally and internationally.
Experience
For Direct Recruitment: At least 15 years of teaching/research experience in a recognized
national/international universities / research institutes/corporate or industrial R&D Labs etc. in
the domain areas of physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, computer science or any other
related interdisciplinary area as faculty / scientist. Research experience will also include
research carried out during the doctoral studies.
For Deputation / Contract: Scientists or Technologists working in the Central/State
Governments/Universities/Recognized Research Institutions/Semi Government, Statutory or
Autonomous Organisations in India, possessing the essential educational qualification or
experience mentioned above and (i) holding analogous post or (ii) with 1 year regular service
in level 16 or equivalent or (iii) 2 years regular service in level 15 or equivalent or (iv) 6 years
regular service in level 14 or equivalent.
