Eligibility :  Officers of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, Recognized Research Institutions, Universities, Semi Government, Statutory or Autonomous Organizations: (a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department: or (ii) with five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.10,000- 15,200 (5th CPC) / PB-3 Rs.15,600-39,100/- + G.P Rs.6,600/-(6th CPC) corresponding to Level 11 of the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC or equivalent in the parent cadre or department: and 

(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience: (i) Master's Degree in Economics or Statistics or Computer applications or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) possessing ten years' experience in Research or Investigation work and supervising research or investigation, analysis of data, examination of implications of economic policies.
