The Directorate of Research and Medical Education, Punjab was established in 1973. The main aim of this directorate is development of Medical Manpower, quality education in the field of medicine and preparation of specialist and super specialist doctors in the state to improve the slandered of Medical Education and promote Research activities in the Medical Colleges of the Punjab State. To achieve this aim the below written Government institutes are established in the State of Punjab and all these are inspected and recognized/Affiliated by Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Central Council of Indian Medicine System and Indian Nursing Council etc.
