The Hitachi ABB Power Grids Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 900 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi ABB Power Grid’s units in more than 25 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 60 countries.

Your Responsibilities

Handling of all documents from internal and external suppliers.
Sending documents for information and approval both internal and end customers.
Sort, structure and put together the plant documentation, both electronically and paper.
Delivering tender documentation (bid-submission) to customer with the inputs from lead engineers, tender leader and department heads.
Profile & upload drawing files, manuals, test reports, calculations etc. required for the bid-submission from internal and joint ventures into the Database or common drive and various tools like PDL and binder.
Organize the files in a folder-structure in the softcopy binder.
Print out the documents as hard copies with attested by tender leader & Joint venture and insert them into binders.
Profile & upload Drawing files, Manuals, Test Reports, Calculations etc. from Hitachi ABB Power Grids designers and from sub-suppliers.
Upload the documents into the Document Control System (Database).
Communicating with project manager, document coordinators, purchase in-charge and line departments for clarifications and suggestions.
Organize the files in a folder-structure in the softcopy Binder.
Distribute the Documents to various departments for Review & Approval.
Send the documents by transmittal for customer review & approval.
Adding the documents into e-room (web-based data base, easy access for the members in different locations).
Print out the drawings as hard copies and insert them into binders
(This is the installation and Final Plant documentation) and send it to respective sites.

Your background

Bachelor Degree/Diploma from a reputed university.
5 to 7 years experience in document preparation and Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
Experience in handling of all documents from internal and external suppliers.
Experience in sending documents for information and approval both internal and end customers.
Should have experience in sorting, structuring and putting together the plant documentation, both electronically and on paper.
