Dy. Chief Fire Officer/Fireman/Driver/ Operator job position in Heavy Water Board (HWB)
Dy. Chief Fire Officer/A / 2 Posts (UR-1 & 0BC-1)
Qualification: i) Passed SSC or equivalent examination with Physics & Chemistry. +
Passed the Divisional Officer's Course from the National Fire Service
College or from CISF Fire Training
Centre. OR Graduate/Associate Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers.
India/London. Experience: Minimum experience of 6 years not below the
rank of Station Officer in a well established whole time fire services
organization is essential.
ii) B E in Fire Engineering. Experience: Minimum experience of 2 years
not below the rank of Station Officer in a well established whole time
fire services organisation is essential.
Fireman /A /23 Posts (UR-12, 08C-6. SC-3 & ST-2)
Qualification: SSC or equivalent. Persons having Certificate Course from State Fire
Training Centres and having valid Heavy Vehicle driving Licence will be
given preference.
Driver-cum-Operator/ A / 3 Posts (UR-1, 08C-1 & ST-1)
Qualification: SSC or equivalent with valid Heavy Vehicle driving Licence. Persons
having knowledge of Fire Fighting equipment such as Fire Extinguishers
etc.
will be given preference. Experience:Minimum 3 years experience after
obtaining the requisite qualification. Experience in a Fire Service
Organisation/ Defence Service will be preferred.
Driver (ORDINARY GRADE) / 15 (UR-9, 08C-4. SC-1 & ST-1)
Qualification: i) Pass in 10th Standard. ii) Must hold a clean and valid driving
licence to drive Light and Heavy Vehicle. Ability to read and fill up
routine forms in English/Hindi desirable Possession of a valid driving
licence to drive two wheelers
.
Experience: Consolidated experience in driving a Light and Heavy vehicle
for at least 3 years. Should possess knowledge of Motor Mechanism He
should be able to attend to minor repairs of petrol and diesel driven
vehicles such as the following a) General day-to-day maintenance of the
vehicle. b)
Tyre. battery maintenance and lubrication of vehicle C) Accelerators,
brake. clutch pedal and fan belt adjustments d) Removal of air lock and
oil block e) Engine tune up. brake adjustments, wheel alignment and
observation of dash board meters.

Heavy Water Board (HWB), a constituent unit under Department of Atomic Energy, is primarily responsible for production of Heavy Water (D2O) which is used as a 'moderator' and 'Coolant' in the nuclear power as well as research reactors. HWB is successfully operating six Heavy Water Plants in the country. HWB has mastered the complex production technology using two chemical exchange processes viz. (H2S-H2O) bithermal process and NH3-H2 monothermal process.
