Engineer B (Civil) / Technical Asst. /UDC job opportunities in Indian Institute of Astrophysics

Post No. 01:  Engineer B (Civil) /1 (UR) 

Place of Posting : Bengaluru 

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute with at least 60% marks in the aggregate; knowledge of computer applications; knowledge of CADD software and applications relevant to preparation of bill of quantities, cost estimates, tender specifications, etc. 

Experience: Minimum Two years experience after graduation in a leading National Laboratory/Research Institute for major projects of civil engineering. 

Experience in supervision and construction of new buildings, laboratories, roads and exposure to restoration works of old buildings/structures is essential. Experience working in high alititude sites (appx. 10,000 ft above MSL) is desirable. The candidate should be conversant with CPWD Rules, specifications for preparation of estimates, tendering and execution of work.

Age : 35 years 

Scale of Pay : VII CPC Pay Matrix Level-10 Pay Range Rs.56100-177500 (VI CPC – PB-3 GP Rs. 5400)

Selection Process: Selection to post of Engineer B will be on the basis of initial screening and then personal interview 

Qualification and experience prescribed is the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for personal interview. Initial screening will be conducted based on the academic performance and experience.  

Post No. 02  : Technical Asst. (Electrical) /1UR

Qualification : Diploma in Electrical Engineering (3 year full time course) with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a Govt. recognized institution with supervisory “C” certificate issued by the competent authority. 

Experience : Minimum 5 years experience after diploma of running/maintenance of different types of both high tension and low tension electrical installations including underground cable system and knowledge of maintenance of electrical installations in state, central government, scientific and reputed organizations.

Scale of pay : VII CPC Pay Matrix Level-5 Pay Range Rs.29200-92300 (VI CPC PB-2, GP Rs. 2800) 

Age limit : 32 years 

Place of posting : Bengaluru 

Selection to the post of Technical Assistant (Electrical) will be on the basis of initial screening and then qualifying in the following written examination. 

Post No. 03. Upper Division Clerk/ 4 Posts

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Arts / Science / Commerce or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in the aggregate; knowledge of computer applications such as word, excel, power point, internet, tally/ERP etc. 

Experience: 3 years experience after graduation in handling Establishment / Administration / Accounts / Stores & Purchase matters in a State / Central Government / Autonomous Institutions / Public Sector undertakings / Corporate Sector Repute.

Age : 30 years 

Scale of Pay : VII CPC Pay Matrix Level-4 Pay Range Rs.25500-81100  (VI CPC – PB-1 GPRs. 2400) 

Place of Posting : Bengaluru/Kavalur/Kodaikanal/Hoskote/Gauribidanur Category of post : UR-2 posts, OBC-2 posts 

Selection to post of Upper Division Clerk will be on the basis of initial screening, and then qualifying in the following written examination.Written test for the above post will be held at Bengaluru.
