Job Description

Design and develop the system components for the extract and transform or conversion of data from various source systems to the target applications;Create data structures or data models that support data across all stages of the extract, transform and load process.Good hands on experience in implementing the parallel and sequence jobs using DataStageAnalyzing, developing, monitoring and administration of the ETL process using DataStage.

Also, able to manage the configurations of the nodes, parallel to job implementation activities Assist in the ongoing development of technical best practices for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL-related activities.Develop ETL processes to populate dimensional data models in warehouseDesign and develop scalable production grade data validation and automation scripts Reverse engineer data from various systemsDesign data auditing subsystemUnit testing ETL code to ensure it can be delivered and run in a system testing environment Document the ETL system specification. Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Implements best data management and product development practices including data integrity and quality standards, frameworks, templates, naming conventions and coding standardsMandatory Skills:Who you areOverall experience of 6 Ă˘ÂÂ 9 years of experience in DW / BI technologies. Minimum 4 years of development experience in ETL DataStage.

Good conceptual knowledge on Data-Warehouse and various methodologies. Strong SQL database skills in other databases like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and TeradataGood to have BigData experience / knowledge. Working knowledge in any of the scripting like UNIX / Shell / PerlGood Presentation and communication skills. Should be flexible with the overlapping working hours. Should be able to work independently and be proactive. Good understanding of Agile development cycle.
