ETL Developer
Introduction
- Responsible for development & delivery of ETL technology (Ab Initio)
- Understanding the overall purpose of the project and contribute in design, development, testing and maintenance.
- Coordinating delivery with the team and ensuring quality of delivery.
- Technical ownership of Code delivery and manage team / deliverables of 3rd party suppliers where applicable, for multiple technical projects.
- Involve in test phases and work towards early resolution of defects and ensuring permanent fix
- Effective liaison with Business project manager, Business analysts and other engineering teams
- Technical Design, Develop and Implement Change Requests (CR)
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards
- Technical development of ETL services /components
- Understand the end to end architecture and process flow
- Understand Business requirement and involvement in design discussions
- Takes responsibility for ensuring that build and code adhere to architectural and quality standards and policies.
- Good knowledge of operating system, databases and ETL techniques.
- Interpret and understand functional specifications.
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Good analytical skills
- Highly-motivated team player
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Demonstrates initiative / Pro-active
- Expertise in Ab Initio ETL technology
- Expertise in Unix scripts, DB & TWS.
- Expertise in Informatica ETL technology
- Promote Automation, reusable components
- Experience in implementing DevOps
- Experience in using Jira and/or other agile development tools
