Project Description

We've been engaged by a large Financial Institution in APAC to provide resources to their Calypso development team working on a wide range of projects like CTB changes, risk and regulatory projects, version upgrades etc.

We require an experienced Calypso Developer to work within the existing Team.
You will contribute to the delivery of the Calypso service offering in the Asia Pacific region. The role will focus on project delivery as part of a scrum team within a project (for example Calypso upgrade) or within a BAU/CTB team.

This will be a high profile engagement with a view to quickly grow our offshore footprint with this client.

Responsibilities

Interact and liaise with teams across various geographic locations.
Interact with Business and Operations user and resolve their queries
Initially work with the Production support team to understand the project landscape

Skills

Expert understanding of Overall Calypso Architecture
Good understanding of advanced Java/Calypso dev topics like Multi-threading, Pricer debugging etc.
Good understanding of key concepts in Java like OOPS concept, Collections etc.
Hands on Calypso development and customizations , like Scheduled Tasks, Reports, Engines
Expert understanding and application of Calypso APIs
Good analytical skills, should be able to analyze and resolve production issues
Good understanding of Calypso's message and sender frameworks
Ability to write SQL queries and understanding Calypso database tables
Good and effective communication skills

Understanding of back-office processes like SWIFT messages, Settlements, CREs, Accounting etc.
Understanding of FX and/or Commodity products
Experience on CI\CD tools like Maven, Jenkins, Gradle
