Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur is looking for Temporary Faculty for the academic units as detailed below. Appointment shall be made initially for one semester.
(ii) Department of Mechanical Engineering

(v) Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur is looking for Temporary Faculty for the academic units as detailed below. Appointment shall be made initially for one semester.
(i) Department of Civil Engineering
Number of Temporary Faculty - 1
Subjects to be taught: Environment and Ecology.

Subjects to be taught: Computer Aided Drawing Practice, Evolution of Architecture, Materials and methods of
Construction, Details of Construction Practice, Landscape and Site Planning Practice, Working Drawing II,
Interior Design Practice, Project Management.

(v) Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Number of Temporary Faculty -1
Subjects to be taught: Communication, Signal processing, VLSI design.

(vi) Department of Mining Engineering :
Number of Temporary Faculty - 2
Subjects to be taught: Project Management, Advance Mine Planning and Design, Sustainable Resource
Management / Module 9 (python) of Advanced Geographical Information System, Module 5, 6, 7 (Open GIS,
Distributed GIS, HTML and GML) of Geostatistics and Web GIS .

(vii) Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering
Number of Temporary Faculty - 1
Subjects to be taught: Processing and Characterization of Materials.
Date of Interview: 10.01.2020 Time: 12.00 p.m. – 1.00 p.m.
The age of the candidate must not exceed 64 years on the date of the interview.
The remuneration of the temporary faculty shall be a fixed consolidated amount of Rs.50,000.00 / month with no other allowances.
(viii) Department of Humanities and Social sciences :
Number of Temporary Faculty - 1
Subjects to be taught: Economics.

(ix) School of Materials Science and Engineering:

Note. 1. The candidate should have a Ph.D degree with first class (60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale) at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level in the relevant discipline. The candidates with first class (60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale) at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level having significant industrial experience and a consistently good academic record and good experience in UG/PG teaching may also be considered.
