The institute has good instrumentation facilities and infrastructure for research in biological, physical and interdisciplinary sciences. We have an established Ph.D. programme and a vibrant integrated-Ph.D. programme. We are committed to provide course work of the highest quality to our research scholars.
Prospective Assistant Professors must have a doctoral degree in physical, chemical or biological sciences with a very good academic record throughout and possess four years of postdoctoral research experience. Younger candidates will be strongly preferred. The criteria for age and experience may be relaxed slightly for exceptional candidates.
The remuneration of Assistant Professor is in Pay Band III (Rs. 15600-39100) with grade pay of 7600 plus allowances similar to other prestigious research centres in India.
