Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Producing concepts

·       Developing patterns

·       Search the Master (Tailoring)

·       Demonstrate to the master (If needed)

·       Making/Modifying sketches by hand or on the computer

·       Create and maintain inspirational design presentation boards for design meetings

·       Creating Moodboards

·       Attend all weekly reviews and provide the lead from Design

·       Review samples w/Founder and update relevant materials to reflect changes

·       Be aware of calendar milestones and be prepared for upcoming deadlines 

·       Analyzing trends in fabrics, colors and shapes.

·       Adapting existing designs for mass production

·       Supervising the making up of garments

·       Quality control

Our expectations from you:

• Must have a Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Fashion Apparel Design
• Must have 1 year of Fashion Design experience with Women's contemporary/ethnic brand
• Must have strong design aesthetic, color sense, and conceptual skills
• Ability to create flat sketches by hand and illustrations in CAD
• Must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, and Word
• Basic garment construction knowledge required
• Comprehensive knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color/print usage, graphics, embellishment layouts, and trim required
• Flexibility to adapt in a well to fast paced, rapidly changing work environment
• Must be a team player, open to take direction, and able to work well under pressure, but also able to work solely with leadership.
