Job Description
Position Summary:
- The Associate, Design and Production will play a critical role in all stages of the production cycle from the point of design conception to when the product is ready for dispatch.
- Sourcing, selecting and researching raw materials
- Conducting quality checks and overseeing production
- Following up with craftsmen and making progress reports on the happenings in every factory
- Researching the footwear market and future trends
- Overseeing testing, including textile dips and footwear durability.
- A creative eye for colour, texture and patterns
- Knowledge of foot anatomy and the ability to take precise measurements
- Creating mood boards to experiment with shapes, colours and fabrics
- Ability to be resourceful, take responsibility and find effective solutions to problems
- Entrepreneurial attitude: working independently while also being a team player
- Creative mindset
- Good drawing ability and proficiency in using design software (AutoCAD, Photoshop, Coreldraw)
- Values and Mindsets
- Strong organisation skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong work ethic and sense of possibility
- Passionate about fashion and footwear design
- Self - starter
- Education and ExperienceA degree in Fashion/Footwear design(preferred)
