Job Description
Fellow Program in Management (FPM) a candidate must qualify the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institute of Managements.
Qualification Criteria: Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications to apply for IIM Shillong Fellow Programme in Management: A Masters Degree in any discipline, with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PWD), with a Bachelors degree/ equivalent qualification with at-least least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PWD) after a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. ORFive year/four year Integrated Masters Degree programme in any discipline, with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PWD) obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent ORA professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 55 percent marks.ORA 4-year/8-semester Bachelors degree with at least 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PWD) or equivalent grade point average.
The candidate must hold a Bachelors/Masters degree of any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or possess an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE. Those in their final year of Masters or Bachelors degree (B.E / B. Tech) in any discipline can also apply.
Such candidates have to complete the requirements for the course before 30 June 2016 and produce the original certificates/mark sheets by 31 December 2016.
Age limit and Relaxation: Maximum 28 years as on 01/07/2016 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Differently Abled and Female Applicants).
Financial Aid and FeesAll students admitted to the program are given fellowship and contingency allowance up to four years which covers their research requirements and modest living. Students are provided with a fellowship amount of Rupees 20,000 per month during 1st year; Rupees 25,000 per month for 2nd & 3rd Year and Rupees. 30,000 per month in the 4th year, subject to the clearance of Comprehensive Examination and submission of thesis proposal.

IIM Shillong has been set up with a vision of expansion and mobilisation of facilities for offering good quality management education and research in the North Eastern region of India. The decision of coming up with an Indian Institute of Management in the North East was unanimously taken by the Union Minister of Human Resource Development along with the Chief Ministers of the North Eastern States in the Review Meeting held at Shillong during June 2004. Shillong was drafted as the permanent location for the institute after consultation between the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) and the Chief Ministers of States of the region
