Job Description
Fellowships conduct Nehru Memorial Museum and
Library (NMML).
Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML)
for the award of fellowships to scholars to pursue research in (i) India:
Recent Historical Trends and Developments (ii) India in Transition: Issues and
Challenges (iii) India and the Wider World.
The fellowships are offered at
three levels: Junior Fellow, Fellow and Senior Fellow. The emoluments, including
allowances, will correspond to that of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor
and Professor of Central Universities, respectively. CPF/GPF facilities will be
extended only to scholars having permanent jobs in Government/Government funded
Institutions who take up the Fellowship after taking leave without pay from
their parent institutions. All the selected Fellows would be required to
undertake their research work/project by making NMML as their base. They will
be allowed the study tour/s after obtaining approval.
Qualifications:
Senior
Fellow: Scholars of eminence who have made a significant
contribution to the knowledge in their respective fields and preferably have
experience of conducting/guiding research and have two published books to their
credit.
Junior
Fellow: These positions are open to candidates with a good academic
record and/or scholarly publications, and preferably a Ph.D. degree.
