Job Description
- Identify business opportunities and target markets
- Develop a full understanding of the business market-place.
- Must act as a bridge between the company and its current market and future markets.
- Make initial customer contact through visits or calls
- Arrange meetings with potential clients
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products/services
- Identify each potential customer’s needs
- Gain a clear understanding of customer’s businesses and requirements
- Make business proposals based on product capability and customer’s needs
- Provide a quotation based on product price and applicable discounts
- Challenge objections and convince customer to buy the product preferably at MRP
- Advise customers on forthcoming product developments and discus special promotions
- Create detailed proposal documents
- Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
- Develop new opportunities and close existing ones
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure appropriate product availability & delivery
- After-sales follow up with customer on service and / or product
- Build meaningful relationships within the company and outside
- Record sales information and maintain customer’s records
- Prepare sales reports by analyzing and summarizing information
- Self-review sales performance with a view to improve it
- Effectively meet deadlines and achieve targets
- Gather market information and provide feedback on buying trends
- Understand competitive products and their place in the market
- Represent your organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
- Attend team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
