Field Service Engineer-- Job Description
Role Purpose
- A Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site service repairs at customer's location.
- Looking for a self-starter Field Service Engineer to deliver the quality service repairs in a timely fashion.
- Along with building positive relationships with customers which would in turn enhance the business.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide & manage all on-site service repairs at customer's location.
- Reporting daily Day-to-Day activities along with feedback on namely & not limited to new technology & processes, competitors, market pricing, spare sourcing, spare quality, & customer satisfaction.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems & determine proper repair solutions.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate service repairs utilizing the necessary tools & fixtures; accordingly update the customer on the repair done.
- Maintaining & updating detailed Job Card Reports.
- Follow all company’s service repair & field procedures along with various protocols.
- Co-ordinate with Customer Support Team & various internal teams to plan & organize on-site service repair at customer's location and share various technical & non-technical related information across the channel.
- Build positive relationships with customers which would further enhance the business.
- Must work on assigned customer open tickets to repair & resolve on-site in a timely fashion even under high pressure & challenging situations.
- Must be able to handle basic spare inventory along with required MSL to avoid stock out for repairs.
- Taking ownership for keeping various internal teams informed of issues namely & not limited to like stock outs & probable customer escalation promptly in order to have appropriate actions taken in time.
- Maintain integrity and quality in all repair related activities.
- Maintain high quality standards and extreme attention to detail while repair is being conducted.
- Proven field service repair experience in IT Industry mainly Apple Products Repair with relevant technical certification & qualifications.
- Working knowledge of L1 to L3 repairs
- Working knowledge & ability to troubleshoot, repair and service the Apple Products along with experience in assembling & diagnose of Apple Products.
- English literacy, communication & soft skills is a must.
- Working knowledge & familiarity with Mobile tools, MS Office & CRM applications.
- Must possess customer service skills and an ability to diagnose and solve problems from non-technical descriptions provided by the customers.
- Must have a Driving license and a 2 Wheeler.
- Must be able to manage service repairs that require more time than anticipated without becoming frustrated or rushing through a job & compromising quality of repair.
- Must be able to work on weekends, late evenings & travel extensively.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
