Job Overview
A Field Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software systems, particularly those involving Android devices. This role requires on-site visits to client locations to perform installations, repairs, and technical support for mobile devices, networks, and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Field Installations & Setup
Install and configure Android-based devices, applications, and related hardware.
Travel to customer locations for on-site setup and support.
Set up Wi-Fi, GPS, or other connectivity features on Android devices.
2. Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose and fix issues related to Android phones, software applications, and connectivity.
Identify hardware malfunctions and replace faulty components if needed.
Perform software updates, resets, and reconfigurations.
3. Customer Support & Training
Educate customers on how to use installed devices and applications.
Provide technical support and answer customer inquiries.
Document issues, repairs, and service reports for future reference.
4. Compliance & Safety
Ensure all installations meet company and industry standards.
Follow safety protocols when handling electronic devices and tools.
Keep records of completed installations and service tasks.
5. Inventory & Equipment Management
Maintain tools, spare parts, and equipment required for installations.
Keep track of assigned devices and ensure proper handling.
Report stock shortages or damaged parts to the relevant department.
