- The Fixed Asset Consultant responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Physical verification of assets, Tagging of fixed assets, reconciliation of fixed asset register and physically identified assets, recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), Calculating depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.
- Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of fixed assets.
- Conducting physical verification and tagging of fixed assets
- Reconcile fixed asset register with physically identified assets.
- Discuss variances with asset owners / fixed asset management team.
- Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
- Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred
- 0-1 years of fixed asset or accounting experience.
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
