About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Preparing monthly statements by collecting data, analyzing and investigating variances, and summarizing data, information, and trends
2. Preparing quarterly and annual statements by assembling data
3. Complying with tax filing requirements by studying regulations, adhering to requirements, advising management on required actions, calculating quarterly estimated tax payments, and assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filings
4. Responding to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data
5. Providing financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles and practices, and developing recommendations
6. Preparing special reports by studying variances, preparing budgets, and developing forecasts
7. Updating job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
