Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Indian Nationality for the Group ‘C’ post of Fire Engine Drivers, Station Officer (Erstwhile Fire Supervisor), Fire Fitter, Fireman, Tradesman Mate (Erstwhile Mazdoor Trade), Chowkidar, Tin Smith, Cook, Painter, Carpenter, Barber, Equipment Repairer and Washerman

Fire Engine Driver /02-UR, 1-OBC

Essential (i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board. (ii) Must have atleast three years experience of driving heavy vehicles and be in possession of valid driving licence. (iii) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as under :- (aa) Height without shoes : 165cms; provided that a concession of 2.5 cms in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes. (ab) Chest (un-expanded) : 81.5 cms (ac) Chest (on-expanded) : 85 cms (ad) Weight : 50 kgs (minimum) (ae) Endurance Test (aaa) Carrying a man (fireman lift of 65.5 kgs to a distance of 183 metres within 96 seconds) (aab) Clearing 2.7 metres wide ditch landing on both feet (long jumps) (aac) Climbing 3 metres vertical rope using hands and feet.

Desirable

(i) Should be familiar with maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliance.

(ii) Experience of having worked in a regular civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman Grade I or Senior Fireman.

(iii) Should have passed the general Fire Fighting Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub- Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.

Station Officer (Erstwhile Fire Supervisor Trade) /1 UR

Essential :

(i) 12th standard pass from a recognised Board.

(ii) Senior Fire Supervisor Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.

(iii) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers hose fittings and fire appliances and equipments like fire engines, trailer fire pumps, foam branches, etc.

(iv) Must have served in a recognized civil or Defence Fire Brigades in a supervisory capacity for a minimum period of three years.

Desirable :

(i) Station Officers course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur.

(ii) Experience of instructional duties in a Fire Service Organisation.

Fire Fitter /1 UR

Essential :10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.

Pay Scale : Rs.19900

Fireman /23 Posts (14 UR,1SC, 5ST,3OBC)

Essential :

(i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board).

(ii) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fitting and fire appliances and equipments fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches.

(iii) Must be familiar with the use and maintenance first-aid fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.

(iv) Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in fighting different types of fire.

(v) Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of fire crew.

(vi) Must have served in a recognised Civil or Defence Fire Brigades as Fireman Grade II for a minimum period of three years.

(vii) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as under:-

(aa) Height without shoes : 165 cms; provided that a concession of 2.5 cms in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes.

(ab) Chest (un-expanded) : 81.5 cms

(ac) Chest (on-expanded) : 85 cms

Chowkidar /3 Posts(UR-1,ST-1,OBC-1)

Essential :10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.

Desirable : Conversant with the duties of the trade with one year experience in the trade.

Tin Smith /3 UR

Essential :

(i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.

(ii) Should be proficient in trade.

Pay Scale: Rs 18,000

Cook/3 Posts(UR-1,ST-1,OBC-1)

Essential :

(i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board).

(ii) Must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and proficiency in trade.

Painter /2 UR

Essential :

(i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.

(ii) Should have the knowledge of painting.

Carpenter /3 UR,1 UR

Essential :

(i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.

Barber/2 UR

Essential :

10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board with proficiency in Barber’s trade job.

Desirable :

One year experience in the trade.

Equipment Repairer /1 UR

Essential

(i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.

(ii) Should be able to carry out all canvas, textile and leather repair and replacement of equipment.

Washerman /1 UR

(i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.

(ii) Must be able to the wash military/ Civilian cloths thoroughly well.
