Job Description
- Install, configure, and support local area network (LAN) and Internet system or a segment of a network system.
- Maintain network hardware and software/OS. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components
- Perform data backups and restoration.
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations
- Install new / rebuild existing desktops and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Operations and Support
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, systems and key processes, verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, Internet availability
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
- Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
- Configure Email accounts on desktops
- Manage and monitor firewall, bandwidth,
- Manage cloud infrastructure productivity systems and applications
- Build and maintain standard images for users across functions and locations (including remote users)
- Evaluate and suggest bandwidth and telecom options (technically and commercially) for all office and user locations
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis for all applications, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Maintain stable releases for OS and user applications across all user devices (including smartphones)
- Handle troubleshooting and uptime for any breakdowns in devices, equipment, networks
- Maintain schedules for password updation, backups, mail, cloud storage, applications across all offices
- Maintain HR, Finance, other applications backups
- Manage all electronic assets and systems (ageing and replacement)
- Manage Inventory list
- B.Sc. (Comp/IT), Certifications – Hardware/Networking/CCNA/Virtualization/Cloud Computing
- Experience in Linux Tomcat Web-Server and MySQL Installation and Configuration. (Linux knowledge is mandatory)
- User administration (setup and maintaining account)
- Maintaining system
- Verify that peripherals are working properly
- Quickly arrange repair for hardware in occasion of hardware failure
- Monitor system performance
- Install software
- Create a backup and recovery policy
- Monitor network communication
- Update system as soon as new version of OS and application software comes out
- Implement the policies for the use of the computer system and network
- Documentation in form of inventory lists, password, stock updates
- Password and identity management
- Exposure to hardware, Networking and Operating System Management – Linux, Exposure on Linux OS is mandatory. Should have Good exposure on troubleshooting hardware and software issue, support, SLA matrix.
- Good Communication skills.
