GBPNIHESD-Himalayan Research Associates Program conduct in in G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment & Development
Eligibility : Post-1: Ph.D degree holders with First class Masters Degree in Biological Science with three years of experience. Post-2: Ph.D degree holders with First class Masters Degree in Physical Sciences/Mathematical Sciences/Geological Sciences/Geography/RS & GIS or 1st class in Environmental Engineering /Engineering Geology with three years of experience

Fellowships : GBPNIHESD intends to offer two (2) such fellowships this year to promising fresh PhD holders for working in GBPNIHESD with state-of-art R&D facilities. The GBPNIHESD’s research addresses applied environmental and developmental issues in different ecological and geographic regions of the entire Indian Himalayan Region (IHR). The research in all these disciplines essentially requires field aptitude
Age Limit : 35 years, relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped and women candidates
Tenure : Two years and extendable for maximum one more year based on outstanding performance and approval of the Director, GBPNIHESD.
Remuneration : GBPIHED-Himalayan Research Associates will be paid a consolidated fellowship of Indian Rs. 36,000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible
Accommodation and other benefits : Accommodation, if available and other benefits like leave, medical may be provided as per rules of GBPNIHESD/ MoEF for RAs
