Institute funded project on ‘Fostering Climate Smart Communities in the Indian Himalayan Region’
Position : Research Associate- I (01 Post)
Monthly emolument : Rs. 47,000 + 8% HRA
Post Code : PC-01
Essential Qualification : PhD in Botany / Climate Science/ Environmental Science or allied subject.
Desirable Qualifications:
i. Experience of vulnerability assessment / Eco-restoration in high-altitude region
ii. Strong foundation in MATLAB, R, SPSS, survey research, decision support system development and analytical skills, etc.
iii. Experience of Satellite image processing and handling of image processing software
Nature of work :
(i) Development of thematic maps related to vulnerable communities in Indian Himalayan Region and web-based decision support system
(ii) Efficient coordination activities related to the project, data acquisition, analyses and interpretation, and participation in field work.
(iii) Assisting in project monitoring, report writing, synthesis, liaison with other Institutions/ Universities/ Line Departments
(iv) Organizing relevant consultations, workshops, conferences, seminars, awareness/ training programs involving diverse stakeholders
