Assistant Staff Accountant Based In Pune, India

Provides financial and administrative support to our Senior Staff Accountant in India and UK along with our International Controller (based in the UK) and Global Controller (based in Boston, USA) for global operations which include: Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, India, Singapore, Turkey and the UK.

In This Role, You’ll

Preparing and posting our international banks along with reconciling these on a monthly basis.
Preparation of Payroll Sheets for our international entities.
Preparation and posting of Payroll Journal entries in the ledger.
Providing financial and accounting support to all our International entities including India entity also.
Organize information for external accountants to complete the local STAT requirements.
Compile and disperse all invoices via Coupa (Accounts Payable system) for our international entities including India entity.
Respond to supplier enquiries and reconcile statements, research and correct discrepancies.
Administers the Travel & Expense system through our Concur expense system and ensures all claims are compliant with our policies and paid as per our schedules(Global and India).
Preparing and posting Month end Journals (Depreciation, Accrual, Prepaid, VAT) for International/Local entities.
Facilitate monthly and quarterly VAT returns International & India.
Assisting in International Compliance.
Assist in the US audit process on requirement basis.
Prepare the month end reconciliation for the Balance sheet accounts for International owned accounts and India entity.
Assisting in day to day India Finance Activity.
Ad hoc & project related tasks undertaking ability.

We’re looking for someone with below qualification and experience/expertise level:

CA, CPA or CWA, Equivalent Masters degree, with 2+ years of post-qualification experience in Month end closing of Books of accounts/ working on various Sub-ledgers/ GL Accounting/ Balance sheet Reconciliation & Reporting, Bank reconciliation statement.
Strong Payroll background.
Good Accounting skills.
Problem solving and analytical skills
Communicate fluently in English language.
Has worked in organizations having international presence.
Solid understanding of US and Indian GAAP.
