A. Category-I Graduate Apprentices :
Civil Engineering/42 Post
Electrical and Electronics Engineering/12 Post
Qualification : A Degree in Engineering or Technology
granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline. .
A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an
Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant
discipline.
Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognised by
the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above
Monthly Stipend : Rs.4984
B. Category II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices
Civil Engineering/91 Post
Electrical and Electronics Engineering/18 Post
Qualification : A Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a
University in relevant discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an
Institution recognised by the State Government or Central Government as
equivalent to above.
Monthly Stipend : Rs.3542
Duration of Training : The duration of Apprenticeship trairung
will be for a period of one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
Selection Procedure : Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is interested with the task of preparation of shortlist from the online application data. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective. disciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR), Chennai.

About Company
In pursuance of the recommendations of the Scientific Manpower Committee made about five decades ago, the erstwhile Ministry of Education, Government of India, initiated a `Practical Training Stipendiary Scheme' with the object of providing Practical Training to the fresh Engineering Graduates and Diploma Holders in Engineering. This scheme was directly administered by the Ministry of Education, Government of India at New Delhi, initially under this scheme, the industries/establishments, which took part on a voluntary basis, were requested to share the cost of stipend payable to the Apprentices equally.
