Job brief

We are looking for a creative Graphic designer with up-to-date knowledge to interpret our clients’ needs and to design solutions with high visual impact.
You will work on a variety of products, including websites, books, magazines, product packaging, websites, exhibitions, corporate identity etc.

Job Description

Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
Plans concept by studying information and materials.
Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and
style, and related aesthetic concepts.
Obtains approval of concept by submitting a rough layout for approval.
Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors
Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Scheduling project implementation and defining budget constraint
Working with a wide range of media and using graphic design software
Thinking creatively and developing new design concepts, graphics and layouts
Cultivate a solid body of work
Take the design “brief” to record requirements and clients’ needs
Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas
Amend final designs to client’s comments and gain full approval
Work as part of a team with copywriters, designers, stylists, executives etc.
Meet with clients or the art director to determine the scope of a project
Advise clients on strategies to reach a particular audience
Determine the message the design should portray
Create images that identify a product or convey a message
Develop graphics and visual or audio images for product illustrations, logos, and websites
Create designs either by hand or using computer software packages
Select colours, images, text style, and layout
Present the design to clients or the art director
Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them Graphic Designer Skills and Qualifications:

The Graphic Designer’s skill set

Knowledge of graphic design software and tools, including:
Adobe InDesign
Corel Draw
QuarkXPress
Ability to work with programming scripts, including XML and HTML
Understanding of the printing process and specifications
Familiarity with production and rendering methods, including drawing, offset printing, photography,
interactive media
Creative thinking skills
Appropriate Layout Skills
Creativity
Understanding of clients and organizations requirements
Attention to Detail and Time management
Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software, for e.g., Coral, Quark Express,
Diploma in animation and design will be preferred
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Should be flexible in terms of work timings based on business requirements
Must be able to work in a demanding, fast-paced start-up environment
Knowledge of Printing and Packaging design is a must.
