3. Education Qualification and Experience:
i) Possess a post graduate degree with at least second class in Statistics or Applied Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Business Statistics or Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Advance Statistics as principal subject from any of the universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or
ii) State Act in India; or any other Possess a post graduate degree with at least second class in Statistics or Applied Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Business Statistics or Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Advance Statistics as principal subject from any of the universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other
a) have about five years experience on the post not below the rank of Research Assistant, Class III, in the Subordinate Services of the Directorate of Economics and Statistics; or
b) have about five years experience in the field of carrying collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation of statistical data or conducting and organizing large scale sample surveys, research studies in any of the fields of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Fisheries, Applied Economics, Labour, Industries, Education, Health, Medicine,
i) Demography or Sociology involving use of modern statistical methods in Government/ Local Bodies/ Government undertaking/ Board/ Corporation/ Limited Company established under the companies Act, 2013/ University/ registered non Government organization/ Banking Organisation on the post which can be considered equivalent to the post not below the rank of Research Assistant, Class III, in the Subordinate Services of the Directorate of Economics and Statistics; or
A) Possess a Ph.D. degree in Statistics or Applied Statistics or Mathematical Statistics or Business Statistics or Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Advance Statistics as principal subject of any of the universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and
a) have about two years experience on the post not below the rank of Research Assistant, Class III, in the Subordinate Services of the Directorate of Economics and Statistics; or
b) have about two years experience in the field of carrying collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation of statistical data or conducting and organizing large scale sample surveys, research studies in any of the fields of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Fisheries, Applied Economics, Labour, Industries, Education, Health, Medicine,

B) Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967;
C) Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
4. Pay Scale: As per ROP-2016 Rs. 56100 – 177500/-
Age Limit:
Not be more than 42 years.

Candidates of General (Unreserved) category have to pay Rs. 100/- + applicable postal charges or Rs. 100/- + Service Charges through online mode as Application Fees, while Candidates belonging to reserved categories and Economically Weaker Section of Unreserved category, Ex-Servicemen of Gujarat State and physically disabled candidates have not to pay application fees.
