Job Description
- Responsible for designing schematic & layout of wearable electronics, in med-tech domain.
- Design and test circuits and other electronic components.
- Integrate components into the final design.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the design and change if necessary.
- Design support peripherals, including central processing units (CPUs), support logic, microprocessors, custom integrated circuits.
- Designing the end to end schematic & layout of the device.
- 2 to 5 years experience with mapping requirements to electronic design, creating schematics, PCB layout and prototyping.
- The candidate would be expected to work in high energy environment, on consumer products in predominantly technical role.
- Knowledge of Electronic CAD softwares: Altium, OrCad, Pads etc.
- Aware of concepts of near real time hardware/software interfacing with small micro-controller based designs
- Experience of working with ADC and DAC
- Understanding of concepts of power management
- Experience in quality/reliability testing as per any standards (consumer/industrial/defence)
- Experience with complete cycle of hardware manufacturing/prototyping
- Excellent design documentation skills
- Experience in working with strict/tight size/power constraints
- Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts including shock, waterproofing etc; ability to work with mechanical product design team and exchange requirements
- Preference to candidates with experience across analog, digital, mixed and RF designs
- Strong Knowledge on Interfacing Microcontroller and High Speed Processors - like ARM Cortex M0/M4, OMAP, Davinci, I.MX with the Low Noise low power DDR2, DDR3, ADC, DAC and Sensors is must.
- Strong knowledge on various Communication protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, I2S, CAN, LIN, RS485, RS232, USB is must
- Should be capable of taking the Schematic Level designs to a Final Prototype through the paths of Requirement Specifications, Guidelines, PCB Design, DFM, Board bring Up and working closely with the Mechanical and Software Team globally to meet product requirements
- Independent in Setting-up the Design Rules for verification of every aspect of the PCB layout
- Extensive experience in Digital Signal processors based analog design
- Experience in analog design with OPAMPs, ADC, DAC
- Experience in Power supply design & 32 bit microcontroller
- Experience design analysis - worst case analysis/Simulations, DFMEA
- Microcontroller/Microprocessor/DSP and analog design experience
- ADC, DAC, Op-Amp based circuits - amplifiers, comparators, filters and similar signal conditioning circuits for different types of analog sensors, Isolation techniques
- PCB layout knowledge for analog design.
