Understand the prescription and ensure that the prescription is from the hospital with appropriate signature of the doctor.
Bill the customer without any error using uwin and scan the prescription
Identify the correct tubes, stick barcodes and emergency sticker, if required
Update sample collect in attune
Dispose the waste in the appropriate dust bins for segregation
Check the temperature in ice box and Hand over the sample to the ILD
To ensure hygiene collection of samples.
To ensure timely dispatch of samples to respective labs.
To ensure proper waste segregation as per norms.
Is responsible to ensure that phlebotomist follows all the sample collection protocols and other laboratory activities.
Inform about any emergency samples to ILD
Write in the register – patient info and test info
Print the reports, issue reports to customer and follow up of pending reports with the lab
Track inventory – test tubes and other consumables in a register. Identify any expired or damaged inventory and avoid using them. Inform the operations executive / inventory executive for replacement
Request for stock at appropriate time and avoid stock outs
Co-ordinate with doctors and staff nurse, register complaints if any and resolve with the support of lab
Basic trouble shooting of application and hardware (printer)
Knowledge of raising helpdesk
Know the contact points for escalation and resolution
