Job Description
- Job purpose: To complete and assist executive housekeeper in all facets of cleanliness in commercial properties including hospitals except Hotels
- Job summary: Directs staff, assists in implementing operational procedures including HSE.
- Manage team to complete daily cleaning task with full utilization of machines, assists in inventory management, attend all audits and maintain SLA scores.
- Housekeeping Supervisor will follow and implement the HK procedure and maintain highest cleaning standards in the corporate office, healthcare and Industry premises.
- HK SUP will be responsible for supervision of all housekeeping duties in his designated area of operation and ensures that uniform operational practices are followed and conform to departmental practices.
- Assist housekeeping executive in the operation of his facilities by directing, planning, organizing, evaluating, scheduling & staffing the housekeeping functions which he supervises.
- Prepares and posts daily work schedule for his housekeeping staff to ensure equal distribution of work load revises schedules as required to compensate for short term absences of their employees.
- Regularly inspects work being performed to be sure that the highest possible standards of cleanliness are being met and maintained and meet the client specifications.
- Conduct continuous on the job training for all employees in the area, develops training for cleaning all type of floors, proper methods of dusting , sweeping, waxing, buffing, cleaning rooms, cleaning walls& windows, cleaning lavatories, reception area & offices.
- Assist in implementations and continuation of work simplification methods.
- Ensures through daily work inspections that the housekeeping staff presents a professional appearance; clean, complete, uniform, shave, haircut & a high level personal hygiene.
- Maintains perpetual inventory of supplies & equipment’s (including linen and bedding); prepares requisitions as required to ensure that these items are on hand to meet the demand for his department and verifies orders when received.
- Also ensures all excess cleaning equipment, supplies, and bedding supplies are properly warehoused and accurate accountability maintained.
- Control & issues supplies and equipment to employees as required.
- Maintains record of materials used & prepares monthly & periodic reports, minimizes waste, misuse or abuse of supplies or equipment.
- Ensures maintenance problems are being reported by his housekeeper; reports & initial maintenance request for repairs; follows through to assure proper completion.
- Maintains daily records of rooms cleaned, maintenance problems, losses & damages.
