Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

 The job generally requires the ability to perform the following duties:

    • Develop and execute recruiting plans
    • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees
    • Develop and track goals for the recruiting and hiring process
    • Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives
    • Handle administrative duties and recordkeeping
    • Collect data on cost per hire and time-to-hire
    • Screen applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
    • Work with hiring managers to create job descriptions
    • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting

 RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The main responsibility of an HR Recruiter is to hire right candidate for the job. Hiring a right candidate requires the below steps to be followed:

  • Screening resumes of the candidates based on the job description available
  • Shortlisting resumes based on several search factors such as skills, recently updated resume, location, experience, previous employers etc.
  • Calling the shortlisted candidates to know their interest about the job opening
  • Convincing employees to attend the interviews
  • Finalising interview schedule and making the interviewer to be available for taking the interview
  • After interview sharing feedback with the employee
  • In case if they are selected then salary negotiation and follow up with them till onboarding
  • Is totally a inbond process ,so you will be getting a call from a gandidate who is looking for a job.

Now here is the difficult part, in most of the cases the interviewees commit for interviews but they didn't turn up,

sometime they drop after getting selected and in worst cases on the day of joining they drop out saying they have got better opportunity or their current employer have retained them with better hike.

Hence a recruiter requires a very goos skill to negotiate and convince employees towards the job and ensure they join the agreed upon date.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The candidate must be a graduate or MBA in HR(Exp-0-2yrs).

  • Multitasking and time management
  • Ability to manage expectations
  • Strong aptitude for learning
  • Critical thinking
  • Confidence is also a valuable recruitment skill when it comes to hiring for position or industries you know little about. Recruiters need to be confident in their own abilities and experience to make the right choice for the job, and able to back up their decision-making process if questioned.
  • Listening goes hand-in-hand with being curious. Taking the time to really hear your candidates, hiring managers, and co-workers will give you more valuable information than any other tactic you can find.
  • Above all else, a recruiter needs to be reliable. This links back to the importance of good communication.

Recruiters act as the primary point of contact between a candidate and a hiring manager. One is relying on you as the point of contact for the company that they are trying to join.

Being reliable means:

    • diligence in your communication and follow-up,
    • accuracy in the information you give,
    • and a willingness to work with both parties to reach the best salary or terms for everyone.


  • The last, and often forgotten, soft recruitment skill you should have is empathy. Job hunting can be a very stressful and emotional exercise, especially if there’s a level of desperation or urgency involved. Recruiters should always remember this side of the job. Be empathetic of the emotional rollercoaster that comes with applying and interviewing for a new job.
  • Recruitment is all about marketing and selling your company to potential candidates. This means thinking and acting like you’re a marketer and salesperson rolled into one.
  • A huge factor in making a fair and successful hiring decision is the ability to think critically about the information that is presented to you. Recruiters need to be able to take all the information that is available about a candidate, filter out what isn’t important, and come to an unbiased conclusion about who to hire.
