Research Associate-I Physics recruitment in IACS
Department : Theoretical Physics
Essential Qualifications : A candidate should have a first or a high second class B.Sc. & M.Sc. degrees in Physics with a minimum average marks of 55% and Ph.D. with research experience supported by publications in peer reviewed journals in the field of Quantum Condensed Matter Physics with emphasis on strongly coupled and/or out of equilibrium quantum system. Those candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. theses may also apply.

Fellowship : As per rules of IACS.
Tenure of Fellowship : 2 years subject to an evaluation after one year.

Founded on July 29, 1876 by Dr Mahendra Lal Sircar, IACS is the oldest institute in India devoted to the pursuit of fundamental research in the frontier areas of basic sciences. Professor C V Raman worked at IACS during 1907 to 1933, and it is here that he discovered the celebrated Effect that bears his name and for which he was awarded Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.
