Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) invites applications for the position of Project Associate I
Advertisement for the position of a Project Associate-I opening as part of a project to be undertaken in the Centre for Climate and Environmental Studies at IISER Kolkata.
1. Project Title: Co-creating Sustainable Agri-Water Use in the Hindon sub-basin–A Multi-Scale Participatory Approach
2. Temporary position: Project Associate-I
3. Number of vacancies: 1
4. Salary: Rs 31000 + HRA (as applicable) per month
5. Background of the project:
The project intends to understand aspects of nitrogen cycling with a focus on deducing the structure and function of microbial communities linked to rates and fluxes of nitrogen in the Hindon sub-basin while addressing the overall theme of sustainable agri-water use. 6. Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. Proven experience in the area of conducting sampling in riverine systems or developing approaches to understand aspects of nitrogen budget in the riverine systems would be welcome.
7. The position is initially for a period of one year and is purely temporary in nature.
