Job Description
Applications are invited for the following position through the DBT (Project No. BT/PR35587/MED/32/707/2019), Dated 09/03/2021, awarded to Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh (PI)
1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
2. Emoluments (per month): Rs. 31,000 (for first 2 years), Rs. 35,000 (from 3rd year onward), Plus HRA as per rule.
3. Duration of the Position: Initially, the appointment is for one year but it can be extended for two more years depending on the performance. Meanwhile, the candidate may be registered for Ph.D. program at the Physics Dept., IIT (BHU) to complete the PhD thesis after fulfilling the required criteria.
4. Qualification: M.Sc. Physics/Bio physics/Bio Technology/Medical Device or equivalent degree: with 60% marks (general, OBC, EWS) & 55% marks for (SC/ST/Differently abled) passing of NET/GATE test/Category-II of DBT-BET exam
5. Candidates having experience in Biomedical optics, Optical Instrumentation, are encouraged.
6. The candidate will work on a project "Spatially resolved Digital Holography polarization microscope for diagnosis applications” under the guidance of Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh (PI) at IIT (BHU) Varanasi and Dr. Biplob Koch (Co-PI) from Department of Zoology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
