Job Description
The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) Library is looking for young, dynamic, tech- savvy, highly motivated and committed FRESH Post-Graduates in Library & Information Science from recognized Indian universities with consistent good academic record, to serve as Library Professional Trainee purely on a temporary basis for six months to one year. Persons having good communication and interpersonal skills with enthusiasm to learn new skills and deliver services using emerging new tools and technology will be preferred.
1. Post Name: Library Professional Trainees
2. Essential Qualifications: Masters in Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) or equivalent with First Class
3. Nature of Traineeship: Learn while you work on different functions & services of the library.
4. Duration: The duration of traineeship will be for six months to one year from the date of joining depending on requirement & performance.
5. Remuneration: Consolidated stipend of Rs. 22,000/- per month
6. Number of Trainees to be admitted: FIVE
Age Limit:
Not exceeding 26 years as 1st November, 2021 (the last date for submitting an application). Relaxation for SC, ST and PD category candidates (up to Age Limit-31 years) and OBC category (up to Age Limit-29 years) will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules. Age may be relaxed in the case of an exceptionally good candidate.
