Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a contractual post for its Institute Management System (IMS) as mentioned below:
1. Position Name: Software Developer
2. Openings: Two
3. Minimum Qualification & Experience: B.Tech/ B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering (regular)/Information Technology (regular)/MCA/ MSc (IT) with minimum 65% marks with at least two years of work experience.
4. Monthly consolidated pay: INR. 35,000 – INR 45,000/- p.m
5. Tenure: Two Years, extendible on an annual basis subject to candidates’ performance after 1 year.
6. Required hands-on experience in:
.Net Framework 3.5, MVC Core, HTML 5, CSS3, Windows & Web Services, Remoting, OOPS Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system Understanding accessibility and security compliance Javascript, JQuery, JQuery Widgets, MS-SQL. Developing cross-browser frontends using XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript and on API's, payment gateways. GIT/SVN Juggling multiple assignments
7. With knowledge and/or exposure of:
Defect tracking systems and test management tools Iproof, Microsoft Reports, Crystal Reports, Devexpress Controls, Fusion Charts, etc. (will be an added advantage) Industry standard ERP & workflow package (will be an added advantage) Database access management (Hands on experience of MSSQL and additional knowledge of MySQL)
8. You will be expected to:
a. Understand and analyze functional and non-functional system requirements.
b. Ensure defect-free release in the production environment.
c. Serve as SME for software development process.
d. Work with cross-functional teams to help identify, triage, and document issues.
e. nstallation, Configuration and maintenance of Linux and Windows based server.
f. Managing All Critical Applications Onsite/Offsite Backup through Bash/Shell scripting
g. Monitoring of Daily scheduled backup activity and ensuring backup has been taken for all critical applications. Restoration of backup when needed

40 years as on the date of interview.
