JRF /SRF Biotechnology recruitment in IIT Guwahati on contractual basis
DBT project entitled: “Improvement of hydrolytic enzymes by protein engineering for higher activity and SSF of plant carbohydrates to ethanol”

Project entitled: “Cloning, expression, biochemical and in vitro analysis of therapeutic chondroitin lyase and oligosaccharides from Pedobacter saltans”

Qualification and Experience
For JRF B.Tech. / B.E., GATE qualified or M.Sc., NET / GATE qualified or M. Tech. in Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Biosciences / Bioengineering with minimum of 60% marks throughout. Candidates with experience in protein engineering and molecular biology techniques (cloning, expression and purification studies) will be preferred.
Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- p.m. (that includes HRA and medical allowance as per Institute rule).
Qualification and Experience
For SRF B.Tech. / B.E., GATE qualified with 3 years work experience or M.Sc. with NET / GATE qualified or M.E. / M.Tech. in Biotechnology / Life Sciences/Biosciences / Bioengineering with minimum of 60% marks throughout and with 2 years of work experience in the related area. Candidates with experience in protein engineering and molecular biology techniques (cloning, expression and purification studies) and animal cell culture will be preferred.
Fellowship: Rs. 28,000/- + 20% HRA and Medical Allowance as per Institute rules.
Job Particulars
About Company
IIITG is one of the 20 IIITs being set up by the Central Govt. in PPP mode. IIITG started operations in August 2013. The second batch of 60 students joined in August 2014. There are now 118 students in the Institute. IIITG is operating from temporary premises in the Assam Textile Institute Campus at the heart of the city. There are two 8 Mbps Internet links. Students and some faculty are staying in a flat complex where 33 flats have been taken on rent by the Institute. The hostel complex is connected to the Institute by a wireless link and where is a wi-fi network in the complex.
