Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,200/- (pre-revised) (As per revised pay matrix level 6)
Age: Not exceeding 45 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential: (i) Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Marine, or Automobile Engineering of a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) 3 years’ experience for degree holders and 5 years’ experience for diploma in maintenance/ overhauling and repairs of marine/ auto diesel engines/ hull repair etc. in a reputed Shipyard/Marine Workshop.
Note 1: Qualifications are relaxable, at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 2: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the G.P. S.C. is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Certificate of Competency as 2nd Class Master or Certificate of competency as 2nd Class Engine Driver (Motor) under the I.V. Act 1917. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential: (i) Licentiate member of the Institution of Surveyors (India) in Sub Div. I (b) Hydrographic Surveying and minimum of 5 years experience in surveying in a recognised Hydrographic Surveying Service as Asst. Hydrographic Surveyor or equivalent, after obtaining Licentiate member. OR Should be a Survey Recorder 1st class of the Indian Navy and at least 5 years experience in Surveying in a recognised Hydrographic Surveying Services as Asst. Hydrographic Surveyor or equivalent, after obtaining Survey Recorder 1st class of the Indian Navy. ii) Knowledge of Konkani Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
