Qualification : Only those candidates who have passed Post Graduate Degree in the following subjects with 1st or 2nd Division are eligible to apply The candidates must note that final year appearing/Result awaiting students are not eligible.
Salary : Appointed aspirants will get an attractive salary of Rs. 15600/ p.m. with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- p.m. (21000/- p.m.)
Age Limit : Applying contenders for above said posts must be between 23 years to 27 years. Only from your matriculation or certificates the date will be count. No, other age certificate will be accepted.
Selection Procedure : Applicants will be selected on the basis of interview conducted by the Army Education Corps. So, candidates need to give their best in interview for selection.
Physical Standard :
(a) Height & Weight : The minimum acceptable height and weight for men is 157 5 cms with correlated weight In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas. Nepalese. Assamese and Garhwalis the height will be relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduced height In case of candidates from Lakshadweep the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms
(b) Visual Standards
Distance Vision (Corrected) : Better Eye 6/6, Worse Eye 6/18 Myopia should not be more than - 3 5D and hypermetropia not more than +3 5D including Astigmation Internal examination of the eye will be done my means of opthalmoscope to rule out any disease of the eye A candidate must have good binocular vision The colour vision standard will be CP-III (Defective Safe) Candidates should be able to recognize white signal red and signal green colours correctly as shown by Martin s Lantern at a distance of 1 5 meter or read the requisite plate of Ishihara Book/Tokyo Medical College Book. Candidates who have undergone or have evidence for having undergone Radial Karatotomy to improve the visual acuity will be permanently rejected In order to detect PRKJLASIK all the candidates at SMB will be subjected to the measurement of Axial length by A-Scan biometer.
