Essential Qualifications: M.Sc (Ag). in Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Genetics & Cytogenetics/ Agrl. Botany OR M.Sc. in Botany / Genetics/ Plant Sciences with NET qualification With 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA. NOTE:- Candidates having Three years Bachelor's degree and two years Master's degree should have NET qualification. Desirable Qualifications: Research experience with sorghum crop, experience in design, layout and handling field experiments, emasculation and crossing techniques, field evaluation, and biochemical grain quality analysis. Well versed with computer applications and statistics packages, ability to analyse statistical data and demonstrated documentation skills.

NASF Project titled “Expression of Resistance to Diapausing and Non-Diapausing populations of Spotted Stem Borer, Chilo partellus in sorghum & Maize: Implications for crop Improvement and IPM”
Essential Qualifications: a) Master degree in Agricultural Entomology/Zoology/ Life sciences with at least two years of research work experience. Work experience in collection of stem borer larvae, insect rearing and rearing of laboratory insects and field surveys. b) Candidate should possess Ist division or 60 % marks since matriculation. NOTE:- Candidates having Three years Bachelor's degree and two years Master's degree should have NET qualification. Desirable Qualification: Experience in insect ecology, biochemistry. Nature of duties of SRF: The selected candidate shall be involved in extensive field work for sampling stem borer larvae, raising crop for field studies and biochemical analysis in lab.
Pay Scale : Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA as admissible – 1 st and 2 nd year Rs. 28,000/- plus HRA as admissible – 3 rd year
Age: 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
