7. Essential qualification: Postgraduate degree in basic science or Postgraduate degree in Biotechnology/ Plant Biotechnology/Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biochemistry / Biochemistry (Plant sciences) Genetics/Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding & Genetics/ Botany or post graduate degree in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
A) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility TestCSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (assistant professorship) and GATE.
B) The selection process through national level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER, etc.
8. Desirable qualification: Experience in Plant tissue culture
9. Emoluments: 31000/- To 35000/- for the JRF/GATE/NET qualified candidates
Age Limit:
As on dated 28 February 2022: Maximum Age upto 35 years for men and 40 years for women. Relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per the Government of India norms. Age relaxation as per Govt. norms.

The institution is located at Indore in Madhya Pradesh state of central India . Looking into the importance of soybean in oilseed economy of the country, ICAR established an All India Coordinated Research Project On Soybean in 1967 with its Headquarters initially at New Delhi and subsequently at Pantnagar. Indian Council of Agricultural Research established National Research Centre for Soybean (NRCS) during the year 1987 for the needed centralised research to support soybean production systems research with basic technology and breeding material. Coordinating unit of All India Coordinated Research Project on Soybean (AICRPS), Soybean Breeder Seed Production (BSPS) and National Active Collection Site (NACS) for soybean germplasm are also located at National Research Centre for Soybean.
