Our Infrastructure Architects are responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.

Your Role and Responsibilities

At IBM Global Technology Services, we design, build and run the foundational systems the world relies on. While companies strive to realize the many benefits of cloud computing, they encounter complexity in seamlessly integrating traditional on-premises systems with cloud-based systems in a secure and efficient manner.
We are expanding its proven excellence in hybrid cloud networking to develop a new Network as a Services solution to help lead clients through this journey.

Activities performed by the TELCO Deployment Engineer will include:
- Develop and maintain automated deployment systems.
- Make Method of Procedures and Configuration Templates for Cloud deployment
- Recommend process improvements to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Assist in developing and implementation of deployment plan.
- Develop deployment support documentations for customers.
- Work with the management to develop deployment specifications and configurations.
- Assist in new system development and enhancements.
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders and internal/external partners to understand scope, expectations, technical content and business processes.
- Lead meetings with account teams, vendors and customers(ext/int) to ensure proper communication of the 1) project status 2) technical issues including resolutions and 3) ensure testing progress as expected.
- Gather and review available requirements and system properties to understand detailed technical needs to enable integrations.
- Communicate technology, timelines, and architectures to stake holders to ensure the integrations are meeting requirements and stake holder expectations.
- Facilitate lessons learned feedback is captured to drive long term internal improvements and better architectural methods supporting the continuous improvement of Integration Services.
- work with IBM's internal offering management team to utilize intellectual capital from field experience to develop repeatable, standard service offerings around software-defined networking.
- work with IBM's internal product and services development teams to define and implement automated orchestration and system management solutions for software-defined networking infrastructures.
- anticipate technology and market trends to help influence network services offerings strategy.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Minimum 5+ years of Telco Industry experience
5+ years of experience Network architecture design experience
Well versed with IP Routing and Protocols like OSPF, ISIS and BGP
Expertise in 5G solutions - Understanding of overall 5G Core components and Network Functions (VNFs and CNFs) and Edge Computing solutions knowledge
5+ years of experience and a broad and deep technical knowledge on:
Agile development methods (Good to Have)
Test driven development (Must Have)
Networks and networking appliances (Must Have)
Experience on creating SRIOV and DPDK templates in a Telco Cloud environment
Experience of at least 2-3 SDN Controller deployments with multiple networking use cases
Ability to work with multiple teams in matrix environment
Generic Problem Determination/Troubleshooting skills
Identification and prioritization of changes to continually improve
