Software Analyst / Scientist recruitment in Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (On Contract)
Qualifications & Experience: M. E. / M.Tech (Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology) and/or Ph. D. in astronomy or related areas.
The suitable candidate is expected to have 3 years of work or research experience in following key areas: Data Analytics (Basic statistics, visualizations, data cleaning, curation and management. Development of software programmes for implementing mathematical and statistical models, Database Technologies and Designing. Web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Advanced Libraries/Back-end programming) Strong leadership / mentoring skills . Strong documentation skills Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, and scripting languages such Bash and Python is a must. Prior knowledge and experience in astronomical data is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Number of Positions: 1
Age Limit: 35 years
Period of Contract: Co-terminus with the project completion, renewable annually based on performance.
Remuneration: Up to a maximum of Rs. 80, 000 per month.
