Software Engineer recruitment in Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (On Contract)
Qualifications & Experience: B. E. / B. Tech (Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology), MCA/ M.Sc. (Comp. Sciences)
The suitable candidates are expected to have following key skills: Core Java, Java EE (and web technologies such Java Servlets),Oracle, MySQL, Postgres databases, Javascript, jQuery, Yahoo User Interface (YUI), XML, Strong documentation skills,Good communication and support skills Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, and scripting languages such Bash and Python is a must. Experience with astronomical applications will be an advantage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Development, maintenance, and testing of software technologies planned as a part of the project. Working closely with members from partner and collaborating institutes. Assistance with existing astronomical data services currently hosted at IUCAA. Assisting in the organization of any workshops. Other duties as assigned. Age Limit: 30 years Period of Contract: Co-terminus with the project completion, renewable annually based on performance.
Remuneration: Rs. 40,000 per month.
